Description 7ocean People are currently seeking for qualified full time UT/TOFD Technician for a vendor company in Bergen, Norway. The vendor is a technology company specialized in tethered inspection of oil and gas pipelines. Inspections are performed on- and offshore in an international market. The UT/TOFD Technician will provide an exceptional customer service, maintain a flexible work schedule and use independent judgement and reasoning. Suitable candidates have, besides good technical knowledge, a flexible and customer-orientated attitude. A successful candidate must be able to follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintain cordial relationships with project managers, coworkers, clients, contractors, etc. Ensure turn times are met and always conscious of quality guidelines.
The position is located in Bergen area, Hordaland, Norway.
Job description:
�?� Preparation and testing of equipment
�?� Mob/ De-Mob of equipment
�?� Participation in the implementation of projects on the site
�?� Responsible for securing UT/TOFD data on site
�?� Technical reporting
Requirements:
�?� Middle Technical School or higher (preferable Bachelor)
�?� Affinity with inspection and NDT activities
�?� Good knowledge of computers and MS Office
�?� Good cooperation and communication skills
�?� Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
�?� Independent, assured and customer-oriented attitude
�?� Ability to carry responsibility and withstand pressure
�?� Ability to solve problems
�?� Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Norwegian language is an asset;
�?� Willing to travel (domestic, internationally both onshore and offshore)
�?� Demonstrate positive QHSE attitude
�?� Work independently, as well as within a team, in a fast paced, customer service driven environment
�?� Ability to collaborate with colleagues, suppliers and customer representatives
�?� Ability to work accurate and to carry out in accordance to plans
�?� Good knowledge is in the field of NDT methods and the inspection profession in general
�?� Certification in the methods of UT and TOFD (min level 2)
